USDA eligibility benefits

United States Department for agriculture is more commonly known as the USDA, provides some benefits in form of USDA Satellite Grant Programs and some home loan programs for the people who qualify for their eligibility criteria.

USDA, which is also known as the United States Department for agricultures  has the rural development program under which it provides mortgage loan to the people who are eligible for the home loan. The USDA loans provide various advantages to the people, who are eligible to take the home loan. Also, it is very easy to get these home loans if you meet all the criteria.

Factors which are important to get the home loan from USDA –

  1. The home or property for the purchase of which you are applying for the loan should be located in any rural area where the population is about 10,000. It means that the home for which you are taking the loan should be located in open area or it should be located in a city where the population is about 25,000.  However, the final USDA eligibility is decided by the local field officers of the USDA.
  2. The second qualification which you require for the eligibility for the home loan by USDA is that you should be the US Citizen or you can also be the US national but not the citizen, or you may also be a qualified alien national.
  3. The third qualification criteria for the USDA eligibility are the limit of the income of your family. Other than that, the number of the members of the family who are going to stay in the purchased house is also an important criterion.
  4. Apart from that, the applicant should not own any house in the commuting area near the proposed house which is to be purchased. You will have to live in the purchased house permanently.
  5. The last criteria, but not the least is that you should not be eligible for any traditional home loan where it is required to make 20% down payment.
  6. Your credit history should be clear and there should not be any black list record.

USDA, which is also known as the United States Department of Agriculture offer some home loan programs and the USDA Satellite Grant Program for the people who match some criteria’s of the USDA. They provide home loan for the single parent family and normal family based upon some criteria, which has already been defined and laid down by the USDA and is verified by their field officers. For e.g., The monthly or the annual income of the family should cross a minimum bracket which has been decided by the USDA based on the area of the home. The house, for which the loan is proposed, should be in rural area with the population less than 10,000 people and other conditions. USDA eligibility is very advantageous for the people who cannot afford their own home and are in no position to apply for the home loan.
